Thanks jeff [note the name]

It,s the least i could do for tam , i knew all along how serious his state was but could,nt tell the forum .

His instructions to me were to tell everyone he was ill but only tell those who PMd me exactly what cancers he had .

The poor man had cancers in his lung spine and liver and had no chance of survival .
He was told 4 weeks ago that he had 4 weeks left and that proved to be the case , a complete waste of a good life .

Taken too young, not wasted though!
The man has done so much to bring people together and obviously was held in such high esteem.
Many people spend many more years on this planet but don't achieve what he has achieved.
So many people on here in total respect for him and a loving family who he can be very proud of.

George you are spot on with your recollection of seeing me last year with a grey goatee and a safari hat. I have to protect what I have left on top

It has been one of those days hasn't it where everything has felt flat. I did not sleep last night as I kept on thinking about Tam and what happened to him and his family. I have felt humbled by the memories expressed here about the man and his life.

The forum header has been greyed out in tribute to him and the mods have also paid their respects. I am not sure if Christopher has or not. I had a blinding headache today and might have missed it.

I am going to have an early night.

I share Jeff's thoughts on how you have kept us posted about Tam's illness and everything. You have done your best George and I hope you can take my advice, have a drink and have an early night.

It's not so full now Sean!
I just caught up with one of my neighbours who has Parkinson's and we have just chewed the fat whilst consuming more of your whiskey and some of his Jonnie Walker Black Label and I'm struggling to type this
We've had a really good chat about life and the future ' he's in his seventies and a Mason' and I feel happy with his positive mental attitude that there is a purpose to everything and there is a place for us after we've left this earth.
I'm a bit tearful still ' probably the drink ' but I'm proud to have so many good friends on here and to know that the genuine love and care for people means that the world isn't such a bad place.
Night all, sleep tight and see you for breakfast.

Evening Stu, I'm a bit squiffy and its all George and Sean's fault
Can't believe what has happened in a few short hours after chatting to you on the phone!
I propose that we have a toast Sunday week at the Halfway House meet to a good friend who has moved on to a better place.
