Samsung Galaxy S4
So I've had my new Galaxy S4 for nigh on 24hrs, and all I can say is WOW!
I've upgraded from a Galaxy S2 (which is still going & is staying in the family lol) and the screen is absolutely amazing. The screen on the s2 was groundbreaking 2 years ago but the screen on the s4 absolutely trounces anything I've tried over the last few weeks including the HTC one which I was also considering. The phone is lightning fast, and I'm convinced my 3G connection is faster than on the s2 (same network). I know the connection is probably not changed but obviously with the faster processor it just seems to. Google Play music is now usable; on my s2 it would take about 10 seconds to load the next track from the cloud but either the s4 is caching them better or it just works better as the max delay has been about 2 seconds. We have no option for 4G here in Ireland at the moment, but I've stuck with Three as they have the fastest 3G connection here. This is the only downfall and I dont blame the device for this but I suspect it will be a better experience if you had this phone on EE in the UK using 4G to its limit! Its made for 4G; come on Irish networks get your act together!!! I have yet to give the camera a proper test, and its only getting its first full day use today so will be able to comment on battery life later on. Some would say the phone is less than a premium feel, and it somewhat is when stacked up to the likes of the HTC one and the iphone 5 but its still nice to hold in the hand and it does feel durable. For anyone upgrading from an s3 I would say you may be less impressed than I was as they are basically the same chassis but coming from an s2, another android or tempted to switch allegiance from apple you will be quite smitten as I am

Have to agree !
I upgraded from a Galaxy S to the S4. Apparently, the S4 has broken sales records & i'm not surprised. |

Well i went for the HTC One simply because i wanted something different after the S2 and S3. However the S4 is a great phone, and could well be the best selling single model in the world this year. If, like me, you despise the Fruity phone, its a great thing.

I upgraded from the S3 to the S4, my contract was up for renewal but I've dumped T-Mobile and gone with '3'. I'm well pleased with the phone and the network, it has a few things that the S3 didn't have. I'm loving the camera, the voice control is a lot better, the screen is fantastic.

I've been with 3 for many years now & they seem to be fine.
Was on 3 Personal, then went to 3 business. Well impressed with the S4 as I said above. Internet on 3 is quick too with a consistent download of 14.89Mbs. It'll run at 50.00Mbs on my home wi-fi. |
