Default Bonnet HELP!!!

Bonnet issues once again chaps, this time the cable has snapped inside the lock mechanism, pulling the cable with pliers has no effect, any ideas before the angle grinder comes out!

rather than taking a grinder to it

At the expense of front grille, not bad, seeing as I was going to cut a hole in the bonnet!
