Default Engine Clean Fluid

Hi all. I wonder if anyone has had experience of the engine internals cleaning fluid BG44K?
I am loath to use additives in oil or fuel but this one has been recommended to me and it looks pretty impressive. One can to a tank of fuel is said to clean ALL carbon residue " even baked on" from the engine, including valve tops etc.
After removing my EGR after 60,000 miles I found that it was all gunged up with this black baked on gunge and if this BG44 does work it can only be doing good.
Has anyone tried it? The info on the websites "mostly US" makes mighty claims but I am sceptical, can one can of fluid really get rid if that baked on crud that took me ages to scrape off.
