Phil...I suspect that they just removed the towball because the 'towbar' isnt just a piece bolted on to the car.
My Witter towbar actually replaces a girder thingy thats part of the car chassis at the back. I would doubt if they had that original part to replace the present towbar. Put the ball back and get a caravan to go with the car ! Enjoy it whatever though. |

Thanks Derek, I hate to think what a 1.8 tourer has towed! I knew about the girder, I have bought one to replace it. Their words to me were that they didn't think I'd know as you can't see it. or words to that effect!
