I'm off to work shortly, if I get a chance I'll try and document step by step what I've done.........I'm begining to think its either PCB or a wiring fault....

I think I've got a similar problem to John Fol. He didn't get a pulsed 12v from his PCB due to a faulty glow plug. I'm only get 10v as well and with a test lamp, I certainly don't get any flashes of light.......

I'm also wondering if the coolant temperature and the weather to day are masking problems too.........

Leave it for now you don't need it

I might set my test rig up again in the winter but from now on it will have to be payment for initial testing including return postage up front as I didn't get paid for one I worked on

Not funny when postage alone is £15-£20

I thought you were going to try Tony's spare PCB in his FBH to clarify that the PCB is OK.

Disappointing to hear that, Keith.

I don't want to know who it was, but I hope that it wasn't anyone on here.

Well whilst most of you were tucked up in bed (roads are very quiet at 3.30am....) I managed to get it to fire up.

It took three attempts and sure enough it burst into life.

I ran it for a few minuites then powered off pin3 and he ran down as per the procedure.

Alas, I cannot get it to fire up again.......

Next plan is to disconnect the K-Bus wire from the plug to see if that helps.......Tried Tony's PCB and it's no different.
