Default That'll Come In Handy!

How many of us have used that phrase? loads I am sure.

I once stripped down a washing machine and kept the springs, about three inches long, pretty sturdy, with the aforementioned in mind. I never did use them, but one day, with them on my boot sale table a lady, wearing a headscarf and a carrying a shopping bag bought them; I waited until I had the money and then asked her what she would use them for, and she replied "I don't know, but they will come in handy.

Earlier today, I had to find the replacement of two nuts on the exhaust downpipe, as the originals had rounded off, and there, in my coffee jar, stored for at least thirty years were the required nuts. Justification for keeping two garage loads, and one loft of junk that will one day come in handy!

I aquired Mrs190 for this exact reason, she's always 'come in handy' for things like cooking, cleaning, paying bills, keeping the house clean etc etc
