Dreadful news, and certainly not what I expected to hear

Alf was such an upbeat gentleman, who's posts often brought a smile to my face

Rest in peace old chap, and my sincere condolences to your family.

I really dont know what to add that hasn't already been said..

Jan and I visited Alf a couple of times in the summer and he was always there on his scooter to meet us and usher us into the car park, whenever we visited it would end up with a hot chocolate at the cafe and a long chat about cars' families and life in general..One of lifes gentlemen..
Rest in peace Alf ..
Our thoughts go out to his wife and family.
I shall polish up Redfive and go to Poole on Monday to say farewell..

Ian

I never met Alf but I often read his posts and his enthusiasm and good nature shone through them. He will be another sad loss of this year and I can only echo the comments of others.
