Yes, why not, the v6 box mates up, mostly, just needs a couple more lugs welded on. I've sussed out how to generate a cam signal, so that leaves the flywheel to sort.
I have a subaru turbocharger, 250bhp turbo zt on its way.

I have some history with the m/t series, having raced one in a metro for some years. I also have a tidy rover 420 with a 400 front on it, but the wife wanted something more modern, so rather than scrap it (i wanted to fit the subaru turbo to it) i think it would go ok in the zt turbo i also have.
We'll see, i need to mimic the 1.8 turbo flywheel tooth pattern, as well as starter ring gear and its on.

Yes but i must have the 1.8 zt flywheel so i can accurately place the reluctor teeth on my t flywheel. In fact I could pull the engine from the zt and start the project, but I'm reluctant to unless I'm sure it's doable.

Been a while with this, but just bought a complete used 1.8t clutch on ebay. We'll see if a t series can be fitted with something that works - absolute worse is I'll have to make a new one from scratch...
Spring is coming, with longer days so lets see if this can be done.
