With a bit of luck, that would get me the first 10p towards the bill

By heck Phil! It's a hard life you have there. I've just put some de-icer on the shopping list because the garage/conservatory door locks are frozen in the mornings & evenings.

Back home, got 2 jobs done ,with difficulty, water freezing on windows, and freezing in the pipe once the flow is stopped for any more than 30 seconds. Try again tomorrow, well peed off! I was wanting to be finished work for Christmas by Monday night next week. Looks like its going to be Wednesday at the earliest now.

Try working some graphite powder in them. Small 60ml bottles can be had on ebay for as little as 99p delivered from one of the many Hoo Flung Dungs. Or you could make your own from a pencil, which I suppose might beg the question: 2b or not 2b?

Ebay source here. Click

Going to be adventurous for tea tonight! (for me) Chilli con carne. We've had a tin of kidney beans in the back of the cupboard for about ten years I knew it would come in handy one day lol.

Just make sure you've got enough lead in your pencil.
