Default No dash warning chimes, reverse sensor beep

Hi all.
One thing I have noticed after getting my ZT back, is that the reversing sensors are not working, nor is there any warning chime when I leave my lights on and open the drivers door.
I am sure the reversing sensors used to work, before the car had its year long hiatus with the engine rebuild.
My ZT was built on the 18th July 2002, and I am not sure if it will have the sounder speaker in the main instrument cluster, or the seperate one under the rear parcel shelf.
Can anyone shed any light as to which I might have?
Cheers,
Graeme

I think a 2002 will have A separate sounder behind the back seats as opposed to in the IPK as in later models. To check have a look at your parking ECU at the rear behind the trim on the drivers side - if the Parking box is black then you have a separate sounder - if the box is white your sounder is in the IPK. As your lights on warning has failed as well the sensors it sounds like the sounder.

I looked a few weeks ago and Rimmers still have OEM sounders for the black box set up.

Nope, it's the KMB sounder that has failed.

You will need to crack open the IPK and be able to solder in order to repair this

PM me your address, and I'll stick one in the post for you

Brian thanks for the clarification -what is the KMB sounder as opposed to the black box sounder found in earlier cars ?

Cheers
