Clutch.
My gear changes on my 2002 cdt are getting very notchy, I read on the forum from a member that the possible cause is the clutch cables snagging where they connect to the gearbox. Haynes dont seem to clear on getting access to them. I understand the battery box has to come out but I remember someone saying there is a lot more to move. Can anyone help please?.

I think you mean the gear selector cables, the clutch is hydraulic.

To get access to the gearbox end, the battery and battery box come out on a V6, but with a diesel you have the FBH in front of the battery box, so this may make it different.

Hi, Many thanks Lowedb, mine is a diesel, so I will book it into a garage to do. I will do more damage if I try diy.
