You need to take a reality check.

Good evening sir (this is the returning me - a reformed character! )
To be honest, the NHS bit probably is wishful thinking, but one must dream in order to progress. I am perfectly happy as long as funds are collected - after all who does not take great pleasure from seeing an Audi driver being stopped for speeding (or any other reason for that matter!) |

The occasions Ive been done Im more annoyed at my lack of observation than anything else, except for one, where a 40mph sign was followed by a 30mph sigh about 50 yards on and down a steep hill so inertia alone acted agaist you. I paid up and was niggled. There was a strange end to this incident, about 2years later I got a letter saying the points were scrubbed and the £60 refunded! Because there was a error inthe measurement of some sign about 2miles further down the road!. Work that one out! Chris.S.

Good point, the insurance aspect of these situations is just a scam. Chris S.

At 30mph, I believe only one sign on entry to the 30mph zone wa required. I cannot recall the source for this, but it may have been auto Express in print around 2000. Sent from my SM-A600FN using Tapatalk

For some odd reason AFAIK the 30mph one cannot legally be repeated So the one limit that you'd really like to be reminded about is the one "they" CAN'T put repeaters up for . Here you go..... https://www.justanswer.com/uk-law/1y...s-general.html |

I think the original thinking many years ago was if you are in an obviously "built up area" its always 30mph unless its a 40mph when it will be shown with repeaters and will have street lighting- so we dont get confused!!! ChriS S.
