Default Help!!!..any plumbers/central heating experts out there....

I have been trying to reset my mother-in laws's central heating programmer. She has been in hospital for 6 weeks and is now home,I shut down the system but now am in a fix trying to reprogramme the controller.Surely I do not have to set it for EVERY single day?, she has lost the instruction book, it is one of these..it cannot be rocket science.I have tried the obvious,i.e.start/stop using the setting buttons for twice daily but to no avail. Thanks in advance .P.

Just noticed the "reset" tiny button in the bigger image....a clue there perhaps, press in with a small screwdriver...was dark in that cupboard and missed that

The reset button will set it to factory default. It looks as though there is a switch on the back to have weekend and weekday settings. But its all got to be set up one day at a time.My programmer is a different make and has to be set in a similair way. Start with a setting in the morning and work out the times for on and off throughout the day, rinse and repeat.

I agree with this Pete, On a more sophisticated system there is a usually a "copy yesterday" button so that you do not have to go one day at a time. It also looks like it limits on/off to two times a day. That is for 7 day set up. If its set up for 5 day / 2 day then you only need to set it up twice. Once for the weekdays and once for the weekends.

Hi Podge,
Check the pressure, if it's a combi it wont run anyway if the pressure has fallen below 1 bar. You will need to top it up!

Regards
