Thumbs up Injector leak back test, a little cheat..

Hi all...

Did a leak back test today and did it the easy way!!

Tried doing the pair of pliers trick, but it always seemed to start before I could nip the pipe...

Basically, remove the engine cover and air box cover the unplug the injectors, remove clips on the top of the injectors and remove the pipe that runs across the top of the injectors... Place that pipe in a 2 litre coke bottle and place aside... When you switch the ignition on it will start pumping diesel, hence the reason for the bottle...

Then try starting the car, it will not fire as the injectors are unplugged, but what you are looking for is fuel coming from the top of the injectors, any that are doing this are in need of a refurb... In my case, number 3!!!

I will now get number 3 refurbed and hopefully cure my hot start issue!!!

Worth trying guys, saves you a lot of cash, and only took 30-45 mins....

Cheers Pete....
