My Dream Car or not?
Although more than happy with my 75 CDT, I would like something a bit more sporty, which means a ZT of course!!
I have been looking in the Auto Trader and on e-Bay for a few weeks now and have viewed a few cars but they have not been to my liking, especially the ones from dealers (which all look good in the pictures but turn out to be sheds when you view them). However i have seen this one:http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...ME:X:RTQ:UK:11 My Husband thinks it is a bit over priced, he says, having done some research, that it is worth no more than £5,500 being a private sale. Any Comments or advice would be welcome, especially as I am going to view it on Saturday. |

I stand to be corrected but I had understood that the checker cloth on the seats would show this not to be a '+' model. That said, the climate control's vents for the rear seats are a '+' model feature.
My only other query is the seller refers to the previous owner being a dealer using the car as a demonstrater but later refers to the dings in the door as being made by the previous owner. A good look at the V5 certificate is (as always) needed to clear up some aspects of the car's history. Otherwise, it looks clean and worth a look. Steve |

+ on this car denotes electric windows all round and Automatic Temperature Control. The picture shows both of these items are there.
The matrix insert seats were either vinyl (basic) or leather at extra cost, This looks like leather to me, regardless of standard or +. At further extra cost full leather or leather and Alcantara inserts were available. I would be looking for about £400.00 off the asking price to cover repair of dents and bumper to bring it up to standard. Providing the paint is not broken, otherwise it will be a bodyshop job which will not be cheap. Have a serious negotiate when you see the car, the current owner seems to know what they are on about so will be aware of prices and repair costs. Best of luck but do remember there are plenty of these cars available, if you are not 100% happy walk away. |

Chaz. Make sure you do a Vehicle check.
There is a special offer on at the moment with the RAC at £5 only for an Internet check only. |

Thanks for all the advice.
Didn’t go and look at the ZT after all, as I have come down with Tonsillitis. I will resume my search when I am feeling better. |

Welcome Shaz,
hope you feel better soon, i had Tonsillitis last year and was taken in to hospital for 4 days and i still have them. The car look nice and black is a great colour but requires a lot of work keeping it looking clean. |
