Will be keeping an eye on it now, I've essentially scraped the U.V layer off so will need to ensure I do a bit of maintenance on the lenses (Wax+Polish) when I wash the car.

They're still by no means perfect but I'm quite happy with the results.

Don't worry about the UV layer, it was never there in the first place, the lenses are moulded from one type of plastic, same on the top surface as they are all the way through

TASK # 2

MESH REPAINT

Moving on from the headlight, I turned my attention to the mesh.

This a 50/50 shot, the 'wet' parts are the painted areas.

The paint used is Hammerite straight-to-rust.

I actually went for a drive in it tonight (I feel like I've spent more time mucking about with those headlights!)

I went to the MG dealership (Which is also a Ford and Volvo dealership ) and did an obligatory Keeping the spirit alive pic.

I'm not keen on those new MGs..looking at the news ones and mine was like looking at cars from different planets.

TASK # 3

RE-BADGING

1 & 2) Front badge removal process

4) Rear Passenger door (both sides)

5) Rear badge

TASK # 4

Fitting members' pack

My first thoughts when I put the tax disc holder on was that it looks a bit too bare from the outside.

So I've come up with this concept. The holder has lost it's stick hence masking tape. I'll get some double sided tape soon.

I then fitted the other sticker.

**EDIT 08/MAY/2013 - IT'S BEEN REMOVED AND IS NOW ON THE OTHER (CORRECT!) SIDE OF THE GLASS.**

New badges look great, as well as the grille. I have got to do the lower section on mine soon.

Not sure of the look of the sticker on your backscreen as you say, would probably look better without it.

Keep up the good work!

TASK # 5

'RADIOGUY' INSTALL & PHONE MOUNT

This is the phone mount.

And this is how its looking at night.

TASK # 6

GIVE IT A CLEAN!

When I first bought the car, it was - in cleanliness terms - immaculate. Whenever a new car comes into the house I like to go a bit mental with the detailing but I've had to let the ZT get fractionally filthy to justify it.

I can't believe how much dirt I managed to extract today, it was like this on every panel! I'm a big fan of using claybars because it's one of the few products you can instantly see and feel a difference with.

The process was
3 x Soap (1/ remove loose dirt 2/remove ground-in dirt 3/bring up to shine),
1 x Clay, (This is a once a year event)
1 x T-Cut, (As is this step)
1 x Polish,
1 x Wax.

Thanks mate, I don't know of any right side trims for sale at present. They're harder to get than the left side ones and that really is saying something. I think keeping an eye on the breakers is a fair bet.

I'd like the dual exit set-up like yours but the trim factor is holding me back a bit.

I reckon a fabricator could make something similar mind.
