So I went round the whole system and tightened everything up - I thought I'd done everything nice and tight when I fitted it originally but I think I must have been worn out from lying upside down in the footwell as I was able to add quite a bit of torque to the first copper pipe joint into the master cylinder.

Then bled the system as per usual and my clutch is back working well again.

I'll have to keep an eye on it over the next few weeks and will reverse bleed next time if necessary. If you don't see any more posts on this thread then presume I've had no further problems!
Good luck then ;as for me i keep syringe and Tools in my bootbox in case

On the OEM master ,be aware of the little valve issue..

So my clutch problems aren't over and I've now resorted to keeping my syringe, the necessary tools and brake fluid in the boot too...

I've definitely been losing fluid (as it starts full but ends up empty). Can't fathom how I'm losing it though as there don't seem to be any leaks. Also Managed to drive about 1,000 miles with a fantastic clutch feel, biting right at the top of the travel, before suddenly in one day of driving a went from a slightly soft pedal to a completely dead pedal.

Thankfully I literally parked outside my flat (albeit at a slightly jaunty angle) before I lost all clutch pressure entirely.

I'm experimenting with slightly different bleeding techniques and also keep tightening up everything as much as possible. Hopefully it's something which I'll get to the root cause of over a few weeks if I keep nipping up the joints little by little each time I have to bleed the system...

Hum,annoying if you loose fluid ,such a quantity should be visible except

in case of leaking slave ....the worst case

Good luck

Clean piece of cardboard under the car. Quick check for slave cylinder leaks with the amount you are using.

Not easily done when I park on a road unfortunately.

You would think so but I can't be losing it that quickly as the clutch was fine for a fortnight of driving all over the country! I'll try not to drive it much this week (drove it briefly last night and have driven it to work today but will leave it the rest of the week) and then have a look to see how much fluid I've lost in those short journeys when it's light at the weekend.

I really hope it's not the slave leaking - I'm not confident enough to change that myself and don't want the additional expense of paying someone else to do it for me.

Wouldn't want to trouble you Andy unless I'm certain it's the slave that's leaking.
