Busy day today:

Drained and flushed the plenums on the tourer & the saloon - given the weather we've had in the six weeks since they were done I was pleasantly surprised to find both were relatively dry.

Fitted DMGR's rear numberplate assembly to the saloon - surprisingly fiddly (but well worth it) and discovered to my annoyance that the bootlid I had sprayed and treated for rust wasn't sprayed under the applique - two tiny rust bubbles lurking there, gonna have to have words with my paint fella

Fitted a walnut & black ZT wheel to the saloon, really pleased with it, had already fitted the black glove box and ZT perforated gaiters (just like them)

Full service (all filters and fluids) and pre-mot'd the saloon, think she's just about ready, just a headlight alignment to do and fingers crossed that should see her through on Saturday

[B]Not fitting that to the 45 are you? I have had a new one in my boot for the last 8 years. Hope it still works now because Rimmers warranty must have gone by now.u?[/B

I got the local Rover specialists to give mine a full health check.

A few things they found that may or may not be an issue:

Slight play in offside of rack. Is that a known problem for our cars? Or just something to ignore for now?

Likewise;

Play in gear linkage - suspect cables. I hadn't noticed so can't be that bad.

Error code A8S-00F - recirculation pump. Cleared and did not return. What's that pump for?

One issue I had spotted...brake pedal rubber worn on r/h edge. I'll start saving for a new one

That looks nice and shiny. What wax was it that you used? My son bought me some new wax to try for a Christmas present. Waiting for better weather to try it out. It's got Carnuba wax in it.

Looked in disbelief at the message centre, dipped beam fail, sidelight fail, numberplate light fail, brakelight fail, oh and an airbag light

Do I scrap it?
