Dumped Coolant Advice Please.
Hi All,
MG ZT 190 V6. Car had low battery, so left ticking over. After about 15 - 20 mins dumped all coolant...Cooled down would not start. Topped up water, it started. Now noticed fan is not turning. Demist test...No fan...Took bumper off, did demist test spun fan by hand and it started turning slowly...Would that be fan motor? Also EML on and saying check engine Help please....Thanks. |

So no low speed. Is it the earlier 3-speed or the later resistor type?
If 3-Speed Try here:https://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/for...d.php?t=192903 If that don't work, the fan must be replaced. Get a 2-speed type, either a second hand MGR one or an aftermarket type. If 2-Speed Try here: https://the75andztclub.co.uk/forum/s...d.php?t=216869 Replacement, uprated resistors are available from forum traders, ebay and electonics outlets (like Farnell, RS Componets). I reckon the EML will sort itself out after a few 'proper' runs.

A battery charger is 50 times cheaper than running your engine.---
Besides, your battery needs 24 hours min on a charger.---- |
