Removed the front subframe, and carefully removed all corrosion cells, rotary wire brushed and washed with hard surface cleaner to remove any salty residue.

Tomorrow will be treating with Kurust, and then priming and painting with black smoothrite

Then just a question of removing the gearbox for some remedial works to begin, new LUK slave and master to be fitted, by which time the paint on the subframe will be dry ready for refitting (hopefully)

Went down to Wheelgenie today to choose the new shade for my starspokes...
Put the winter wheels back on (Crowns) and they feel like big soft wallowy balloons...

gonna take a couple of days to get used to them again

Fitted two drop links who ever designed them the way they are was a right numpty

Also fitted to track rod ends was surprised how easy they were to change with no skin loss but found out my steering rack is leaking on the drivers side so that's next on the list to do as well as all the other jobs I keep finding

Yesterday I fitted a Slick/Vibe SLR10 Subwoofer in the Boot...

do you need to split the exhaust to drop the sub frame Brian?

Took my ZTT to the bodyshop, after being rear ended with my trailer attached. Damaged trailer & bent towbar, hopefully that's all.

Yes you do Pete, fortunately this car has had a new rear section fitted, so quite easy
