Question ZT Diesel cutting out after starting up engine

And this one is definitely not the underbonnet & intank pumps - i had just changed them to VDO ones.

Symptom:

1) start up key ignition mark 2 -pumps priming whir as usual but if i put my ear over the belt drive area, i can hear a gurgling sound with a bit of a hiss in it?

2)Start up engine -fires up normal, but only runs for about 20 seconds or so till it cuts out as if i just switched it off with the keys. Also, if i do say 2 or 3x cycles of fuel priming in key position 2 -it runs a bit longer with each prime cycle. Also, the pump or whatever is in that belt drive spot at the top area of the pulley is a bit noisy (and extra gurgly).

3) if i press the pedal to accelerate the engine -even after just starting it ~It immediately cuts out.

Any ideas anyone..?

If your ECU has not be flooded, take some measurements :

Could be a leaky injector or the HP regulator ...the HP voltage will tell ...

You did take off the plastic pipe end protectors if fitted to the LP pumps?

Easily missed as some are clear, and if not removed they get stuck in the fuel pipes and can cause exactly the sort of symptoms you are experiencing.
