Default Air filter to Connie

Ok Guys.
A, I thick or what, I have just bought a new air filter for my connie, I have taken the plastic shrout off that covers the engine, I was expecting to find a box that I pop the top off and just drop the filter in, no such luck, so I traced the air intake to the box behind the engine, I have undone the screws in the top, but it still wont open, I presume I am looking in the corect place????? and how do I get to top of to fit the new filter.

There's 5 captive bolts to undo to get the top off, 2 around the back.
There's a how-to somewhere, hang on..

Arctic's thread has, as always, excellent photos showing how the top comes off

Although pic number 6 in that thread is supposedly an under bonnet picture, I don't remember it looking like that, must be the v6

I was in York last week collecting some bits from an 04 Petrol, Connie SE that a bloke is breaking, I still have the his number if you need anything ?

It had a perfect black leather interior with heated memory seats, headlight washers etc.

I had same problem first time I tried it. I got the 3 at front plus the one on right hand corner. The one back left 2" in from corner is hidden away. Simples when you know how.

Default Air Filter "Done"

Thanks to everybody who posted a reply, its easy when you are shown how to do it, I did it in 15 mins after reading your "How To" ........ before I asked I stood there with the three front bolts out scratching my head for a full 20 mins.

Thanks Guys.

I had the headlights and wheels off it, I also removed the fogs for him as he already had a buyer for them. I'll PM you his number.
