MG6 Diesel Driven & European MG3
Visited Longbridge last Thursday and was shown a light blue chinese spec MG3 in the Convention Centre then was able to see a european spec MG3 in white the front bumper is a vast improvement with also new rear lense units which make the car look much better. When seeing the chinese spec MG3 is what Rover would have looked like if this would have been launched.
Afraid no photos we had to put our phones under our chairs. The euro spec MG3 had LED horizontal running lights alit looked very cool. The alloy wheels where different on either side, also had black side sills body kit to give the impression was lower. In the headlights there were small MG badges covering the headlights bulbs great attention to detail. The interior had the orange Zero graphics running vertically down the middle of the seats, with the interior lights in orange. Also drove during the day a MG6 diesel prototype, very smooth but punchy very early car off the line, saw a Magnette diesel off the production getting ready to go testing for the next 3 months which will run up to 40k miles around the country with testing also in the Welsh mountains. The MD of MG Motor UK also gave a presentation to us at the factory, explained about new MG6 diesel launch Qtr4 this year, European MG3 launch mid 2013, MG5 being 2 years away, new coupe version of MG6, new SUV & Roewe 950.

I am well aware of that but who knows about the platform... FIAT origins spring to mind.
