Sealing Rings ???
When I removed the Fuel high-pressure sensor on my ZT-T cdti, there were no sealing rings or washers between part 1 and the end of the fuel rail, or between parts 1 and 2. This doesn't seem correct to me, but there is no evidence of any fuel leak.
In pic 1a, there is a shoulder that looks as if there should be an o-ring fitted ? (this would be between the fuel rail and the fitting). Pic 1b shows the opposite end of this piece, which the sensor screws into. There is a sloping shoulder inside, but it doesn't match the shoulder on the corresponding end of the sensor (pics 2a and 2b), so I think there should be a flat washer between these two pieces? The mating surfaces are very flat. Can anyone tell me what should be fitted in terms of sealing washers please. Many thanks. Mick |

Haynes mentions replacing the sealing washer between the sensor and the union. It's not described further, so can't say whether it's a steel one or some other metal. There's no mention of the seal for the union itself, but your image 1A does suggest the use of an O-ring. In this situation, such a ring will be of steel and not 'rubber'. You need someone with a spares catalogue to confirm part numbers.
