A Scottish football question

Can anyone tell me how the Scottish premier league works? I've counted up the teams from the last few seasons and looking at the amount of games they play it all does not add up. For example, last season there were 11 teams in the league, but each team played 38 games. Do some teams play each other less often?

I think they Play both the Team at Home and Away,
But I know Nothing about Football so who Knows.

Thats the thing John, with 11 teams in a league you have to play 10 teams. 10 will not go evenly into 38.

Thanks David, but that would mean playing 30 games a season and the teams played 38!

I've checked on the Sky sport football pages on web. It's got all the final tables for the past few seasons. The teams are down has playing 38. I looked in the newspapers at the end of last season and the tables were the same in them.

There must be some one from Scotland on these forums who follows football!

Or the old system what ever it was did not work well. If you get a chance please have a quick look at the final tables on the Sky sports web, just so I know I'm not cracking up!
