Default iPad SIM card

I got my iPad at Christmas and it came with a 3 simcard with a preset amount of credit and a time limit of 3 months?? The time limit runs out today and looking at the 3 app I have used very little credit. I mostly use the iPad at home but when away in Birmingham the 3 3g signal was so poor it was virtually unuseable I have seen O2 micro sims in the local petrol station for 99p but was wondering if that would be any better or stick with what I've got? Whilst in Birmingham my iPhone on O2 was just as poor on 3G as the 3 was??

IMO Three have the best mobile broadband network, closely followed by EE.

O2 (in Suffolk at least) are woefully bad.

Agree with the above, our caravan is in the middle of nowhere and others like the kids always end up tethered to my pad, as its on three.
