wheel bolt key
Are wheel bolt keys still avaiable? And how do you specify which key you need? Is there some sort of list, defining what key is need for a given chassis number?

Depends on the car, I understand Xpart can supply a key from your chassis no. if they are MGR bolts, but if they are Mcgard bolts you will need to get it direct from them, They want a good photo of your wheel bolt head, a photo of your log book and driving license and about 18 euros
Regards

Looking at your profile it's a 2003 car, I would say this is fitted with the internal spline type, fitted to earlier cars..
A number 12 bolt should fit this, perhaps a member in your area could offer assistance. |

You're right, Pab. It is a 2003 with an internal spline. Are you saying that it's just a standard 12-point socket, and that they are all the same?

Thanks, All.
I'm going to get rid of the lock-bolts and fit standard bolts. I used the lock key at the weekend, and it's possible I might have left it in one of the bolts and it fell out when I drove off. But whatever, - it wasn't in it's holder when I went to get it again, so I ended up welding an old Peugeot wheel bolt to the head of the lock bolt, and removing it that way. centscotsman, - I work in Falikirk, so could pick up the key somtime if that's OK. |
