Default Radiator fan from Mercedes Sprinter (two wires)

hello friends
I began to write this post about a month ago, but I gave up until I'm 100% sure of a good result.

We all have problems with the cooling fan, at least most, and when everything is ok is quite noisy.
Because the kenlowe radiator fan quite expensive for me i came up with the idea to solve the problem with fan but with a cheaper option.

Browsing the catalogs of fan, I found very similar from the Mercedes Sprinter, febi number 18932.
fan is smaller than original one, but is very similar to kenolve about 16 inch
I thought if it is good enough for Mercedes bus, it must be good for my Rover 75.

I put it on my rover 75 cdt to the original holder, connect to the original wire and tested a month every day, everything works perfectly, the temperature outside was around 35 to 39 degrees air conditioning running with no problems, the noise is much smaller, and I'm very satisfied

Another thing, I sold my old fan at a price that I paid for the Mercedes new one

How much did it cost?. Sounds like a good alternative.

Cheers

This probably needs adding to the interchangeable parts thread?

Good tip there. Thanks.

Not wishing to be a wet blanket, but the air flow through the fan shown will be significantly lower than the MGR/Kenlowe fans. The blade displacement is around a quarter I'd guess. IMO, you really need to compare the specifications before committing.
A diesel may well get away with it but the other engines need lots of cooling on demand.

Did you read my post? As I said, I tested it every day for the month, rover fan size is about 19 inches, kenlowe is about 17, this is about 16 inch, smaller half inch from each side than kenlowe and it seems to me a faster than orginal .
I tested it in city driving, the outside temperature is like in hell, the same fan used in SPRINTER BUS

Are you saying you actually bought a new one or a second hand one.
The reason I ask is before we get too excited they are 120 to 130 pounds to buy online so where is the real saving.

Regards Mas
