Kv6 hgf £1200
So for those who are familiar with my ZT woes this is the culmination of it all, for those who are not see here:
http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...d.php?t=168534 The up shot is I bit the bullet admitted defeat and took her to Horners in swinton to give her a good look over, their diagnosis was HGF, I must admit I was leaning towards this myself but didn't want to admit it. denial isn't just a river in Egypt! Anyway after a long conversation with Horners and Mrs Swisstony I have decided to go ahead and have it done, the logic being if I were to buy another ZT at this price there are no guarantees something similar wouldn't happen. I love the car and want to keep it on the road and in the best condition I can and at least I will know its had all the big work done. Price includes: All belts and water pump Head gaskets Inlet gaskets head bolts head skimmed liners sealed oils and lubes labour + VAT Please spare a thought for me as i'll be eating bean's on toast for the foreseeable |

Hi,
I went through the same deal last year, but went for a replacement engine as after we had the heads off it looked somewhat cooked! The price looks correct to me and about the same as I paid but I had quite a bit more running about to do with the replacement engine. The only thing missing off the list might be cam belt tensioner which apparently its good practice to change at the same time. I didn't and of course am now worrying about it.

I'm pretty sure it's included as the list was just of the top of my head, I trust Horners to do a decent job they seem very knowledgeable about our cars. |

good luck
I would also be going for a full thermostat set with temp sensor .
Also ensure the cooling fan works on all the speeds it should. You dont want it to fail again. Good luck with your rebuild. Jus to mention I actually have a pair of genuine in the mg rover boxes, head gaskets in the garage. Let me know if you want to buy them .
