![]() On my 2004 CDTI I have a cup holder unit built into the front of the rear seat base which is operated by pressing it to open the unit. Trouble is on mine it will not open unless you prise it open with a knife!
Does anyone know if replacements are readily available and if so is the fixing process easy? Thanks. |

![]() If I were you, try and find a tatty old rear seat from a scrappy where the cup holdrer is working. Remove its cover (its soooo easy) and fit your cover on the base that has the working cup holder. Job Done.

![]() When I bought my last 75 it had the same problem, got fed up with the cup holder misbehaving, so one day wrenched it out and gave it a good slapping.
Put it back in and it never misbehaved again. I actually think at some time it had been removed then badly re-aligned when refitted. Plastic can be very temperamental. |
