Default Sat Nav Help Please

Jeff (coolcat) has just re-loaded Igo8 on my sat nav card and all was working fine, but I decided that I wished to change the Igo8 back ground and loading screen.
I put the sd card in my computer and proceeded as per this posting
http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...d.php?t=168344 post number 6.
Now the sat nav will not allow me to enter an address and set as destination, I cannot here any voice directions and can't exit the program.
Help pleas before I go completely nuts.
Many thanks
Tom

Very odd - not heard of that happening before. A couple of things worth trying:
  • Disconnect from power for a short while to see if it re-sets itself;
  • Undo your changes in case your new background pic was corrupted in some way.
Failing the above, Jeff may have some other suggestions. Just to bear in mind, I always make a point of having a backup copy of my latest working iGo install, so if anything gets corrupted, it's easy to go back. Doesn't help you this time, I know, but worth bearing in mind for the future.

Cliff

Hi Cliff,
Thanks for the quick reply.
I have already undone the changes I made but that hasn't helped.
Will have to leave disconnecting the power until the morning as I need to use the car shortly.

Regards
Tom

Hi Sean,
The two files I modified were as follows:
IGO834\Branding zip\ui_igo8\800_480
and
IGO834\data.zip\uigo8\800_480\background.
as stated in an earlier post I have since changed them back to no avail.
It seems that every time I load the card on my computer things get worse.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Regards
Tom

Do you want to try and Download ? I can either send those 2 files or the Complete IGO8

Cheers

Hi Mick,
I know I might appear to be stupid (perhaps I am) but the card is definitely in the gps slot, and music in the other one.
Best regards
Tom

May I suggest you delete the "save" folder from the main directory this will clear any settings or amendments to the program.
