Sudden Electrical Issues
Hi guys,
I hope you can help me. This morning my car worked just fine. On my way back I wanted to change my electrical seat. The seat adjustment suddently stopped and afterwards (maybe it was there before and I didn't realise it? Cannot guarantee it.) I realised that I neither have an indicator sound nor a symbol on the dash. The AC shows "ER" and the central locking does not work. Do you have any help in your limitless wisdom? Cheers |

First things first: Brian, you are an absolute star! Thanks for all your dedication and help!
For everbody else with similar issues: After testing/swaping several ECUs, the problem for all those electrical issues turned out to be a completely demolished cable from the electronic seat which was caught by the seat itself. It "simply" needed soldering. Easier said than done when the seat is lowered to its minimum and not adjustable anymore. BTW: It's not very typical to happen... only when a certain Rover owner assembles the seat respectively lays the loom incorrectly... Last edited by Mats; 15th August 2015 at 16:25.. Reason: typo |
