Arthur Daleys on fleabay !!
I was seriously having a look at THIS sounded like it needed a vis repair but otherwise pretty sound, short mot but no biggie if the description is anything to go by.. then out of curiosity thought I'd check the MOT history, seems the seller forgot to mention he'd tried to MOT it 2 weeks ago and it failed !! still might have it though

The police have access to MOT records and will be able to see that a fail has been recorded

A Vehicle that fails can only be driven to a place where the vehicle is to be stored or fixed, and can be driven to the MOT station providing it has advanced booking. So consequently if this failed an MOT two weeks ago, then it is unroadworthy https://www.gov.uk/getting-an-mot/after-the-test

The myth about MOT tests are legion. If it passes an MOT, it is roadworthy. If it fails an MOT, it has failed an MOT. No ifs or buts., it's failed therefore can not be used on a public road, full stop.
It's like the 14 days that you used to be allowed to tax your car. No you were not allowed any time at all. Ask a policeman

A mot pass is valid until the day it expires a failure issued before its expiry does not invalidate it. depending on what the failure is it may not fall fowl of C&U regulations. emissions are one example.
