Leak above n/s cubby hold in tourer
So I have sealed the drip from the trim, the drip from the vent but still have this one, I can get my hand up the channel between the side window and the rear corner of the car and it feels like it's coming from higher up.
So any ideas if this has been seen before and how to fix it ? Thanks

Yup, had this on mine as well and it was a devil to find. It was soaking the carpet on the N/S cubby. Took everything out and looked up and this is what I saw.
So I took off the roof rails and trim. Unbolt the roof rail and unclip the trim carefully so as not to break the clips. But you will find its probably not that. Its pretty well sealed under there unless a weld had cracked. I then sealed the rear windows, the chrome trim, took out the light unit to check the seals. But every time I put the hose on the car, I got the leak again. I was banging my head against the wall. Eventually found it. The water was making its way under the hinge area and into the seam that runs under there and making its way down to the cubby area. I painted some Grey Stripe Brushable seam sealer over that area and it stopped the leak. However, mine had been going for a while, and when I pulled out the back seat for another job, I found this. It had obviously run the other way as well. Which ever source your water is getting in from, might be worth a check under the back seat. |

Thanks for the reply and the pics, yes exactly as seen in your first pic and it also only occurs when driving so I assume wind driving it in at the hinge, will wait till it dries up outside and remove the plastic hinge cover
