I think they are different, from memory the scratch remover has diminishing abrasives which finish down nicely and don't leave any marring. The sample i have worked well on a scratch i had on my Kia.

I've got both Paul and the Compound cuts a lot more than the scratch remover, both work well but the Yellow tube is better imho
