Default accelerater

urgent please. my diesel 75 auto is in a known garage, used them for years. heater motor had failed and they were changing it for another which I had obtained now all working. now the problem is even though engine starts it will not respond to the accelerater . apparently its fly by wire. they are trying a battery disconnect to try to cure it . thanks in advance.

Hi mate it's a bit of a long shot but you could try this, they are correct when I tell you it's fly by wire .

TPS reset procedure: Fully depress and release the throttle pedal 5x with the ignition turned to on - that means to ON and not start cos you don't want the engine running while you do this. Then turn the ignition to off and start the engine.

They have broken it when removing the pedal box or not connected it up properly.

Morning folks. sorry I missed your thread Phil. that's the bad news I was fearing. before I go to the garage [that I have used for some 15 years] can you tell me what I should look for on the pedal, maybe a gismo by the pedal with a wire going to maybe going to a computer?.
