Default Xtrons problem

Morning all.
Have a xtrons radio for sometime.
I'm about to rip it out and put it in the bin.
When the signal on fm drops down the screen goes off and then will flash off and on till I do a restore on it.
All the controls lock up and a restore is the only way to stop it. Radio still has sound even when the system locks up.
Any help would be appreciated as xtrons have not been any help.
Thanks all

Hi Steve,

Sadly I can't be of much help but it sounds like the unit is dying .

Have you tried the good old, turn it off, turn it back on again? I mean completely disconnect it from all the power supplies - most have two, a permanent one and a switched one.

I have an Xtrons unit and I found their aftersales support to be hopeless. Wouldn't buy another.

Good Luck with getting it sorted.

I fear the support issue may be common to a lot of these cheap Chinese units.

I'm currently in the throes of fitting an ERISIN unit, and the support people are worse than useless - if the person you're emailing doesn't know the answer to a question, they either go silent, or just tell you something nonsensical.

Good luck...
