Default Spare Wheel Bolt Stuck Fast

Went to check spare wheel tyre pressure, just in case, and found that the bolt holding the wheel to the boot floor was stuck solid. Had to use an oil filter wrench to loosen the bolt it was solid until the last few threads. Have now greased the bolt and all is well again. Maybe worth a look at as like mine spare wheel does not seem to have been used at all.
It appears MGR had a few CITREON 2CV wheels kicking around and decided to put one in the boot ! lol

Default Spare wheel

Think you have found the infamous 'Space Saver' spare wheel.
Advise you buy a full size spare wheel off ebay (they all fit in the well) for peace of mind.

I too have the motorcycle wheel in my boot and would like to repace it with a union one. Does the rubber tool kit holder still fit over the wheel and the boot floor sit down correctly?

I found the only full size wheel I could fit in the bootwell and accommodate the jack and toolkit inside was 18".

I have a 15" Crown alloy as a spare, and the foam tool tray fits perfectly, and the floor sits level. The only slight problem is that there's not a great deal of room to get your fingers through the hole to lift the boot floor liner (I don't like letting the handle take all the weight).
