Default Swap roof lining 75 mk1 tourer

Morning all.
So as the title suggests, I’m looking to swap the roof lining from my old car, to my new, but wanted to know if there are any curveballs I should be aware of.

One thing that was raised as a potential issue would be if and how the lining biscuit is fixed to the roof of the car. I’m guessing that it wouldn’t be just the shape of the lining pushing up as there would be vibrations and rattles from the centre of the lining?

Anything else that anybody has come across when they did the same job, would be good to know in advance.

Thanks
Eddie

There are two screws in the rear roof light that need to be removed.

These screws hold the lining to the roof?

Yes, they are visible when you remove the light lens

Great, thanks for your help.
Is there anything particularly difficult about swapping these over, or in your experience is it fairly straightforward?

Don't forget to disconnect the cable that feeds the rear light and (if installed) the volumetric alarm. It is joined into the "A" pillars.

on a saloon there are 2 slot in support brackets above the rear screen in the roof , worth checking if in a Tourer. they normally just slide out forwards .
