They are just a push fit. You may find that if you repace them, the hole is full of debris.

The lug on the plastic pad is "D" shaped and will only fit in one way

Hi Lee,

From my limited experience they are a push fit. Some members advocate using a small amount of a builders glue such as 'No nails' (other brands available ).

I have taken to carrying a couple of spare pads in with my tool kit just in case the fitted ones are missing when I need them most!

There are two each side. They simply clip into the hole under the sill. The pads have a couple of 'arrow head' type clips. Locate the clips in the sill and give the pad a smart push. The problem is they tend to become slack if the pad is taken out a few times. Many just drop out when driving. Some people gloo them in place with silicone filler or NoNails type adhesive.

Always use these when lifting with the OEM jack. It requires the locating hole in the pad to prevent it shimmying sideways.

Edit sgfull, snap!

Not really. There's usually some on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Rover-75-pair-...3A1|240%3A1318

Try a scrappy, all 4 cost me £1.00 - I had to pull them off myself (so take a screwdriver with you). I then No-nailed them on

I'm off to the scrappy again this weekend, I'll have a look to see if there are any others there. Only about 3 or 4 R75's there, so if anyone wants some second hand ones let me know (by PM) and I'll see what I can get.....

They might up the price if I collect too many, but then again the staff are different on Saturday to Sunday

Are these lifting points on any other car?

Thank you all.
The bad part is that in my area these cars are ALL on the road (actually this is rather good and not bad) and the price & pp to Romania would be a little bit more that it's worth.
Thinking about leaving it as it is, the jack can still be used with the help of a rag on the top. And I only needed to to it once, when changing the cambelts and all related stuff.
