Default Heater Blower not working

OK Lads after some advice and help here.

Got hold of my Bosses R75 20 CDTi 03 plate as he had a few problems which i said i would try and have a look at with the help of you lot.

Problems are

Airbag warning - Sorted

Rear light leaking doing tomorow afternoon

ERG clean - doing tomorrow afternoon. Completed

but the main thing is that his heater/ blower is not working.

Not getting anything from it tried swapping the relays and checking fuze but nothing.

Wierd thing is when you have the ingnition on (engine not running) and press the recirulation button or the AC button you can hear a small wirring sound not like a fan but something trying to move. The fan does not work in any position at all.

Ant Ideas where to look first.

That whirring is probably the servos opening/closing the various flaps in the heater box, sounds like a duff switch or a siezed/worn out motor

daft question but could the pollen filter if blocked stop the heater motor working?

I could be sadly mistaken here but I think you get to it from behind the cupholders/heater control panel

Does the car have ATC or rotary controls?

May help with the diagnosis.

Cheers Colin,
Yes it has rotarty controls just had them out and one of the cables was off the direction/distiburion switch Sone in law got that back on myhands are to fat lol.

Still nothnig from the blower though on any setting. starting to think it could be the resistor pack. Does anyone know if you can test the resistance on these to see if its working or not..

Other thoughts are that the blower motor is packed in but it sounds like its moving very very slowly.
