Default air bags

Hi all,

My air bag lights keeps showing on the dash and I dont know exactly what to do about it.

It comes up when I turn the ignition and goes off to come up again after a few minutes drive.

What do you think I can do to stop this.

Thanx

This is quite a regular issue. Here is a reply to a previous post that might help you.

Can't remember seeing anything about that but you might be right and it wouldn't do any harm. Come to think of it the usual advice when removing seats is battery off just in case you set an airbag off. Normally states for half an hour or an hour though rather than overnight. If you do disconnect the battery remember to shut the satnav down properly and make sure you have the radio code (assuming you have a satnav and/or radio).

As a newbie this was my first ailment - it wasnt quite as straight forward as tight connectors for me - I ended up putting in three threads (instead of continuing one) but here you go: Hope your fault just needs the connectors fiddling with

Glad it worked for you. Well worth subscribing to the club for extra benefits and to help ensure it keeps going - just click the button at the top right of the page (by no means compulsory though).
