Default FS: Rover 75 Connoisseur SE CDT -**SOLD**

Up for sale is my 2000 W Connoisseur SE CDT manual with 170k.

I've put it on ebay with a starting price of £1 and a £999 reserve for 5 days.

Here are some pics:

Here's the text from the auction:

Here for auction is my Rover 75 Connoisseur SE CDT diesel with high line sat nav, TV with teletext, desirable 17” Rover Serpent alloys and a walnut and leather steering wheel. This is a very economical car and regularly returns 47mpg in day to day driving. The engine is the much praised BMW derived common rail diesel coupled to a 5 speed manual gearbox.

If you’re looking for a Rover 75 you’ll know that the Connoisseur SE with High Line satellite navigation was about as high a specification as you could get. The colour is Wedgewood blue and it has the sandstone full leather interior.

I’ve had this car since 2006. I bought it with 102,000 miles and it’s now showing 170,000. It runs perfectly and has had all the major items done whilst I’ve owned it. The clutch was replaced when I got it back in 2006, a couple of years back I had new lower front wishbones and bushes, the cooling fan (a well know weak point on 75s) works on all 3 speeds and the air con is ice cold. I’ve done all the work on it myself since I bought it and service it bang on schedule and always using fully synthetic oil and genuine Rover parts. The service indicator shows c. 5k miles to go until the next service. There is plenty of life left in all the brake pads and discs. The awkward air con drive belt was changed within the last 12 months as was the coolant with the correct OAT.

The lovely serpent alloys are unmarked and had a set of brand new Goodyear Excellence 225/45 17 tyres earlier this year and have done about 6k miles since. It had a new premium battery last summer.

Absolutely everything works on the car. The equipment includes:

* Cruise control
* Rear parking sensors
* Electric memory seats with 3 position driver’s memory
* Auto dimming rear view mirror
* Webasto FBH (fuel burning heater) (when the temp is less than 5˚C this kicks in and makes the car heat up very quickly – this was deleted on later models to save cost)
* Front fog lights
* Message centre with trip computer, bulb failure warnings etc.
* Satellite navigation (this is a BMW based system and can be easily upgraded)
* TV with teletext
* 6 CD changer in the glovebox
* Electric rear sunblind – goes up at the push of a button to shade your back seat passengers from the sun
* Headlight power wash
* Heated washer jets
* Dual zone climate control
* Battery back up siren (BBUS)
* Drive away door locking
* Single point unlocking
* Delay to headlights and rear number plate lights to show you to your door in the dark
* Heated mirrors
* Rechargeable torch in centre console
* Front cupholder and twin rear cupholders
* Seatback map pockets
* 8 speaker audio system

The car is in excellent condition and I’ll be really sad to see it go. The leather is high quality and looks much better than cars with a third of the mileage that this has and the paint still looks fantastic. A few stone chips as you’d expect with a car of this age and mileage but really it looks as though it’s done half the mileage. This car will cruise all day at motorway speeds (I’ve done 600 miles in one day back from the south of France on one tank of fuel) in climate controlled comfort. A fantastic luxury car for very little money that has many years and many miles left in it – you see cars on here with 250k+ miles on them and still going strong.

I’ve even included a set of brand new genuine sandstone mats to finish the car. Whoever wins this auction will not be disappointed!

Any questions please ask.

Thanks for looking!

Pete
