Default Please don't throw your old camsensor away

Hi all,

Glad sharing with you my last observations :

I have had the opportunity of compare two camshaft position sensors ;
one good and one faulty.

And guess ! the faulty one is (because age ?and/or temperature?)
TWO TIMES MORE SENSITIVE than the good one .!!

So, the idea:

Knowing,on certain cars,the gap is adjustable.

And it WORKED !

To add to your toolbox car.
Could be useful in emergency case....or why not a real repair ?

Please have yourselves a try and let me know.

Mike

Default cam sensor

Hi, This is my first time on the forum. I have a kv6 and it has failed to start on at least 5 times for no apparent reason. Had it diagnosed but found no problems, the guy told me it could be the cam sensor. So reading what you said about putting a washer and o ring on it, will give it a try. Let you know the outcome.
