Default Handbrake input and light input to New DD?

Hi all, I'm struggling again.

The new Sean DD started to sulk this morning. Shortly after backing out of my garage to continue work on, it refused to allow any video to be displayed apart from the radio panel. It said on a blue screen something like a warning to say it was dangerous to watch the screen with the car in motion. I took that to mean its handbrake connection wasn't working properly or it was getting the wrong signals.

The system I took out was the full Hi-Line one, but I have not been able to find any wire in the area which changes voltage on changing the status of the handbrake. Is there one in the dash?

Alternatively, I have a spare wire which runs back to where the original TV unit was mounted in the boot - is there a handbrake signal there perhaps.

Second question. I'm having a similar problem finding a 'lights on' signal to dim the new DD's display. Is there such a wire in the area?
[EDIT] Ignore Q2 it was already dimming as plugged into the ISO, I just had not noticed it dim. So just the handbrake signal to resolve.

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.

Just go into the units setting menu and de-select the BRAKE icon and it will work.No need to connect any wires.
