Default Zt/75 strut

Is it ok to use the struts from a 75 tourer on my ZT-T?. My springs are fine but the N/S shocker is kaput!.
My local breaker has a 75 tourer in and the struts look to be in great condition. Is it possible to use the 75 struts with my ZT-T springs or would I have to use the ones off the Rover?, would the ride be all shot etc??.
I am planning on fitting new top bearings while the struts are off so any suggestions would be handy to take on board.
Thanks

I think ZT struts are stiffer than 75 ones but i bought a new strut for my 75 from my local motor factors was only £65
