Had my car on the rolling road today...
160+ would make me happy, but it had to be over 150.... Results: Headline figures: 153hp (114kw) @ 3700 RPM 249 ft-lb (338nm) @ 2700 RPM Just to point out, "Test3" was done with the air intake in it's normal position, "Test2" was done with the air intake on top of the engine with a massive fan pointed at it to show how much a "proper" cold air intake would get me (2.5hp). For those wondering... my current air intake sucks from infront / below the FBH, and got me 152.8 / 248. I moved this to where the "normal" air intake would be (i.e. just on top of the rad) and got 152.9 / 249 - which is such a small difference that I would imagine it's the same. The power curves look very very wierd, though... any suggestions? Wondering if maybe I have a MAF problem... Was boosting properly during the test (to ~1.4-1.5 bar), and was running around 90-95° C On the plus side... 22hp over stock, and you can do it yourself for less than £300 Spec: ZT 135 manual, Synergy 2 (on setting "10"), Pierburg MAF, EGR Bypass, Decat (standard exhaust, cat removed), Air intake modified, Pipercross air filter Viton Intercooler O-Rings, Remote thermostat (QTH107 stat), 109k - oil change 1k ago, air filter cleaned last night, PCV replaced last week, running on Shell V-Power diesel. Also tried running it with the Millers as well... |

Good result that, power curves should be nice and smooth.Hopefully one of the diesel mappers on here will be able to advise.
Will be getting mine on the RR shortly to see what it's making in standard form prior to the remap and other carefully selected performance mod's.

You can't run a Pierburg on setting 10 - that is why you have a weird map.
The MAFAM only works on settings 1 to 9 IIRC Least that is what it says on my Synergy

Depends on the model. I run setting 10 too and have a pb maf. Different versions allow different settings to be used

Interesting! your car spec and setup is almost identical to mine - the only differences are that I have the standard air intake and a custom stainless exhaust/decat. So I expect my BHP should be about the same as yours.

same spec as mine too right down to intake mod- although i've now ordered a 70mm ducting as the 76mm was huge and i dont think a good fit. I don't have the decat though or the remote thermostat (i might do this as a member is selling one) i presume the remote thermostat just goes in the top hose? and you mention standard exhaust- did you just break the cat stuff out of it or replace the pipe.

Set it to "9" for the drive to work this morning - doesn't seem as fast as normal (seems more "dull"). More experimentation required I think... |

Good spot...
Have to say, his website didn't fill me with confidence (nor did the location!) but when I arrived to find a Diablo, a modded Celica, 2x Lotus 7's, an SD1 and a Mustang parked outside I felt a lot better... Only cost me £40 as well for 3 runs... bargain. |
