The Battle Of Compensator Ridge
Battle was commenced this morning to fit Steve's compensator mod on my own.Easy, i thought.Well, the removal of screws, bolts etc was, then came the carpet!!!!!!!After 10 years, mine decided it quite liked it where it was,20 mins later, crow bar,leg under, hands scraped, spanner rash,i eventually managed to get under enough to take out the torx screws & remove the plate.Fitting the compensator was easy enough,As was putting everything back.So thanks Steve job done & it does make a difference. But i am Knackered.

I beat the carpet's reluctance to stay out of the way, with lots of bits of wood to wedge it - it still wasn't easy to get at, but a bit easier.

Ahhh i can now see from Pabs pic where most of you are going wrong and struggling with the carpet in my cpoy of Pabs pic marked by the arrows and x you have to punch or push this part of the carpet back so it folds in on its self, also make sure the sides of the carpet are pulled back as far as the seatbelt anchor that way you will have more room i maybe fitting one tomorrow so will take a better pic of it cheers Arctic.
PS rear seat squb does not have to be pulled right up just the edge Pushed or punched back
