Mike, a bit left field, but are you sure its the clutch juddering?

I ask as the only thing I can think that would cause a judder is dmf and or lower engine mount. But I guess that would be all the time. However my experience is limited.

Have you done the usual bleed and see if it goes away? Lower mount is an easy check. Fluid level etc. I know they are low hanging fruit but if you check them at least you can discount them.

Can you tell if the fluid is hot? Not sure if that would cause you issues?

Is the diesel feed hot? Could it be gasefying in the pipes while standing before being pushed through when trying to accelerate away?

I had the same thing on mine Mike before the clutch finally failed. The juddering in traffic would come and go, and only really do it if I was in stop start traffic for a long period of time. Could feel the juddering through the clutch pedal on mine and would only do it when moving off in first or second gear.

It done this for a good year or so on and off before my clutch plate finally failed. It was in 2 pieces when we removed the plate.

Ever since having the new clutch plate and slave it's been fine.

DMF on mine was fine at 190k. still on original, the clutch and slave was also original.

Mike, I have had clutch judder in the past through the clutch driven plate being contaminated with oil getting on the surface.----

Might be worth dusting it off and fitting it Mike - just to eliminate the master cylinder, as it is such an easy job.

Unfortunately, the next step to accurately diagnose clutch judder requires gearbox removal and a strip down for a close inspection of all the parts.

At least Summer is coming.

Did these drops appear after you did a reverse bleed ?? It could be spillage from fluid coming down from the reservoir, leaking past the cap threads or rubber condom. I find the Tazu masters can appear to leak/have a few drips after bleeding, particularly if the reservoir has been overfilled or not emptied sufficiently after a pressure bleed before putting the rubber condom back in. Excess fluid will then drain down slowly over the next few days, making you think there is a leak at the base of the reservoir or from the rear pipe joint - if you wait a few days, everything dries up.
